Criminal Trial
At any criminal trial, the prosecution must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant committed the crime. This means the prosecution must convince a jury to 90% certainty or more, that the defendant was the culprit of the crime in question. The criminal defense lawyer does the opposite. Both sides use evidence. The rules of evidence are complex and important to ensure that your rights are protected at trial.
